Dubai Chambers announced on Sunday, November 1, 2026, that it is launching a new Agentic AI category within the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award, a move designed to recognise Dubai‑based private sector firms that successfully implement autonomous AI technologies to drive tangible business outcomes. The announcement was made from the chambers’ headquarters in Dubai, where the new category will evaluate companies across all business sectors on criteria such as talent readiness, implementation, cybersecurity alignment, and measurable performance improvements.
Launching the Category
The Agentic AI category is part of Dubai’s private‑sector Agentic AI transformation programme, overseen by Dubai Chambers in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai. The programme aims to accelerate the practical adoption of Agentic AI across the business community, encouraging firms to enhance administrative and operational processes, improve efficiency, productivity, and decision‑making.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, said, "Agentic AI is a key driver of business competitiveness, innovation, and growth. We are committed to enabling the private sector to adopt these technologies responsibly and effectively to enhance productivity, transform business models, and create sustainable economic value. Business excellence awards play an important role in fostering a culture of innovation, showcasing successful experiences, and encouraging companies to adopt best practices, further strengthening Dubai's position as a global hub for business and the digital economy."
"The Agentic AI category aims to recognise companies that demonstrate excellence in applying these technologies and translating their potential into tangible business results. By showcasing their achievements, we seek to inspire the wider business community and encourage more companies to develop innovative solutions," Lootah added.
The new award category will feature an independent panel of experts who will evaluate submissions and select winners based on the impact of their Agentic AI initiatives. Projects in any industry—finance, logistics, healthcare, retail, or manufacturing—are eligible, provided they demonstrate how autonomous AI has improved efficiency, decision support, or competitiveness. Companies will be assessed not only on the technological sophistication of their solutions but also on how well they align with cybersecurity standards and contribute to measurable performance gains.
Dubai Chambers highlighted that the initiative reflects the emirate’s broader goal of positioning itself as a global leader in digital innovation. By celebrating the private sector’s achievements in Agentic AI, the agency hopes to spur further adoption of responsible AI practices across Dubai’s diverse economy.
The announcement was covered by WAM, which reported the launch as a significant step in the city’s ongoing AI transformation strategy. Although no specific timeline for award nominations or selection dates was disclosed, the new category is expected to be fully operational within the next business year, with the first cohort of finalists likely to be announced later in 2026. Subsequent winners will receive recognition at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award ceremony, reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable economic growth through cutting‑edge technology.
