The tragedy has shocked the Waterford community, where neighbors have left flowers at the cordoned-off home.

Three Acquitted in Waterford Arson Incident

Three people were released without charge after being taken into custody for a suspected arson that claimed the lives of four members of the English family in Waterford. The victims were parents Philip and Kim English along with their nine‑year‑old son Jayden and 12‑year‑old son Callum.

In early March police arrested a man in his twenties and a woman in her thirties in connection with the fire. Those two were later charged. On Tuesday, two women in their thirties and a man in his 50s were also taken into custody. Gardaí announced on Saturday that these three had been released without charge, while a fourth suspect—a man in his twenties arrested on Thursday—remains in detention.

The blaze tore through the family's Birch Avenue residence on the outskirts of Waterford, leaving a town in mourning. Neighbours have left flowers just outside the secured gates in a quiet tribute to the deceased.

Gardaí continue to investigate the motive and remain keen to bring justice for the victims. The community has rallied together, and the local council is offering support to the surviving family members. For more details, see the full report at BBC News.
