Texas Officer Saves Man from Burning Car in Dallas Crash

Body‑cam and dash‑cam footage has gone viral, showing Dallas police officer Corporal Joshua Swisher pulling a driver from a car seconds before flames erupted under it.

Swisher was conducting a traffic stop on the Dallas‑Fort Worth corridor when he was alerted to a nearby vehicle emitting smoke. He directed the vehicle to the emergency lane, but shortly after, the fire threw a plume of flames from beneath the car as the driver was still inside.

New footage released by the police department shows the rescue effort in real‑time and highlights the rapid response that saved the driver’s life. The incident took place on 7 June and made the headlines for its dramatic timing.
