Tate Brothers Face US Extradition Hearings Over 59 UK Charges

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan appear in a Miami federal courtroom, kicking off extradition proceedings to the United Kingdom over a new slate of 59 criminal charges that include rape, sex trafficking and human exploitation.

The brothers, who have been held in a Florida jail since an arrest late last week, say they are innocent and will fight the extradition. Their attorney Joe McBride likened the case to a witch hunt and called the extradition attempt political kidnapping.

The Crown Prosecution Service announced the charges after a fresh file of evidence from Bedfordshire Police, raising the count of alleged victims to seven and expanding the scope of allegations dating from 2010 to 2017.

A judge set the next hearing for 27 July, and the ultimate decision rests with U.S. officials. The brothers are dual British‑US citizens and have also faced Romanian prosecutions for similar offences.
