Russian Missile Strike Kills Five Family Members in Radushne
Zelensky calls the Russian missile strike destroying the Voronov family home a “horrific crime.”
In the village of Radushne, near Kryvyi Rih, five members of the Voronov family – parents Artem and Olena and children Mark, Azariah Ilay and Emilia – were killed when a ballistic missile obliterated their house. The other children, Zakhar, Dominika, Viorika, Federica, and a grandson named Artem, remain missing.
The attack was part of an onslaught of more than 70 missiles and 280 drones fired by Moscow overnight, also damaging private homes and wounding eight people, including an elderly woman and two rescued children. Ukrainian officials say body fragments were found under the rubble and forensic work is underway to identify victims.
Zelensky urged global support for Ukraine’s demand for Patriot missile systems, saying the country needs the capability to intercept ballistic missiles. He emphasized that Russia’s aggression cannot be tolerated and that international willingness to provide defense is critical.
The assault followed Zelensky’s recent visit to Washington where he pressed President Trump for a license to produce Patriot interceptors. Parallel tensions have risen in Poland, where Prime Minister Donald Tusk investigated a crater from a possible Russian missile that crossed Polish airspace during the assault.
