LOS ANGELES (AP) — Michele Singer Reiner, a photographer and producer known for her role in inspiring the happy ending of the romantic comedy classic 'When Harry Met Sally...', has passed away at the age of 68.

Tragically, Michele and her husband, director Rob Reiner, were found deceased in their Brentwood home in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a medical aid call shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Sunday and discovered the couple dead inside their residence. Their son, Nick Reiner, aged 32, has been arrested in connection with their deaths.

Michele, who is credited for her contributions as a producer on films like 'Spinal Tap II: The End Continues', met Rob during the filming of 'When Harry Met Sally...' and their connection led to Rob changing the film's original ending. He recalled, Originally, Harry and Sally didn’t get together. But then I met Michele and I thought: OK, I see how this works.”

The couple tied the knot in 1989 and had three children together: Nick, Jake, and Romy. The influence of Michele's creativity within the entertainment industry is undeniable, as she also produced noteworthy documentaries such as 'God & Country' and 'Shock and Awe.'
