Good Good Golf Apologises After Pushing‑Like Ad Sparks Backlash

Good Good Golf, the popular YouTube channel run by Garrett Clark and Matt Kendrick, removed a Callaway advertisement following criticism that it depicted a woman being pushed to the ground while attempting to reach a new driver.

The clip, which showcased professional golfer Alexis Miestowski, was criticised for trivialising violence against women. In an apology posted on X, the brand acknowledged the misstep, stated that the content was “not aligned with our values” and said it had been taken down.

Callaway, which has partnered with Good Good since 2023, expressed disappointment, thanked the brand for addressing the issue, and reaffirmed its intent to foster an inclusive golf environment. The PGA Tour echoed these sentiments, emphasising that violence is not tolerated and that the channel will continue to collaborate on future events, such as the upcoming Good Good Championship in Texas.

Good Good has grown from a 2020 YouTube channel to one of the biggest golf content creators, regularly featuring men and women in challenges and producing TV‑style content. The controversy remains a reminder of the expectations sports marketing faces regarding diversity and respectful representation.
