During a formal launch in Badr Province on 4 November 2026, Prince Faisal bin Badr bin Jalawi introduced the "Professional Volunteering – Professionals" project, an initiative designed to embed a culture of professional volunteering within the community and to harness specialized skills for sustainable development.

The ceremony was attended by key figures, including Abdulaziz Al‑Maqnas, Secretary General of the Tawqeen Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship Society; Dr. Shahd Suleiman, chair of Tawqeen’s board; and Maher Al‑Faidi, manager of Medina’s Social Development Center. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the governor highlighted the project’s objective to promote high‑quality volunteer initiatives that benefit societal needs and boost the capacities of participating professionals.

Governor Faisal elaborated on the project's alignment with Tawqeen’s innovation and entrepreneurship programs, noting that the society’s efforts aim to strengthen community participation and cultivate distinctive, high‑impact initiatives. He underscored the importance of integrating professional expertise into volunteer work as a means to elevate the quality and reach of nonprofit contributions.

Dr. Suleiman articulated Tawqeen’s commitment to nurturing a collaborative environment where professional volunteers can contribute skills in areas such as technology, health, education, and business development. She highlighted the society’s previous successes in mobilizing skilled volunteers for community projects and expressed enthusiasm for the new partnership framework.

Maher Al‑Faidi emphasized the role of Medina’s Social Development Center in facilitating volunteer coordination and in providing structural support for project implementation. He pointed out that the center will serve as a hub for training, resource sharing, and monitoring of volunteer-led initiatives across the region.

The project ultimately seeks to create a sustainable model where the nonprofit sector benefits from ongoing professional volunteerism, strengthening community resilience and contributing to long‑term development goals. The Saudi Press Agency reported that the initiative will drive professional volunteer involvement, enhance the quality of service delivery, and support the broader strategy of sustainable community growth in Badr Province.
