Yung Filly Claims “Vibes Were Good” with Accused Rape Victim

UK rapper Yung Filly says the feeling between him and a woman who accuses him of rape was "good" as he faces a barrage of sexual assault charges.
The singer, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, took the witness stand at the District Court of Western Australia on Monday, a week after his trial began.

Yung Filly is accused of sexually assaulting a 20‑year‑old woman after a performance in Hillarys, a coastal suburb of Perth. He pleaded not guilty to six counts of sexual penetration without consent, three of assault causing bodily harm, and one of strangulation.

Barrientos told the court that the "vibes were good" when the pair first met: he had been in the VIP area and she had leaned over the barrier from the general area. He has denied touching her inappropriately, stating, "I recall putting my hand on her waist," but not arranging contact beyond that point.

He further explained that once they arrived at his hotel, the security guard confiscated the woman’s phone—a "standard practice" to protect their privacy. The pair had reportedly engaged in consensual sex before the alleged violent incident, at which point the woman told him to stop.

Yung Filly, known for his work with the YouTube collective Beta Squad and public appearances on British television, has been on bail since his arrest. He returned to the UK in September for four months before crossing back into Western Australia for the trial. He boasts over 1.8 million YouTube subscribers, three million TikTok followers, and 2.4 million Instagram fans.
