Anastasiia Berezovska, a 39‑year‑old Ukrainian woman, was found dead in Ukraine after being linked to a parcel bomb that injured a sanctioned Ukrainian multi‑millionaire and his family in Monaco.

Authorities say the bomb was planted on 29 June in an apartment lobby and detonated, causing minor injuries. A manhunt across borders ensued in an effort to locate Berezovska, who was believed to have fled Monaco after the attack.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reports her body, which displayed gunshot wounds to the head, was discovered in Ukraine. Two men – one of whom is a current officer with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence – have been detained on suspicion of murder.

Interpol had issued a red alert seeking her arrest, and the incident has raised questions about cross‑border security and the role of defence officials in ensuring public safety.
