Jonathan Andic, son of Mango founder Isak Andic, has been arrested in connection with his father's death.

Jonathan, 45, was detained by Catalan police as part of a renewed investigation into the circumstances surrounding his father's death, originally treated as an accident.

Isak Andic, 71, died in December 2024 after falling from a ravine near Barcelona while hiking with his son. Conflicting accounts about the presence of other family members have added complexity to the case.

Despite previous denials of responsibility, Jonathan's account has been scrutinized, leading investigators to reopen the case citing inconsistencies in his testimony.

A family spokesperson expressed confidence in Jonathan's innocence, stating he was being questioned by the police. Jonathan joined Mango in 2005 and later took a leadership role within the company following his father's passing.

Investigators had initially closed the case in early 2025, finding no evidence of foul play, but later reopened it based on new findings.

After being taken from his home for questioning, Jonathan appeared before a judge who ordered his detention with bail set at €1 million and required him to report weekly to the court.

Isak Andic founded Mango in 1984 and grew the brand into an international retail giant, operating nearly 3,000 outlets globally. His death left a significant impact on the company and its future direction.
