British right‑wing commentator Milo Yiannopoulos, 41, has reportedly been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A search of ICE’s inmate registry shows his name linked to an Louisiana detention facility, though no official confirmation has yet been issued.
Yiannopoulos emerged as a polarising figure in the UK, serving as editor for Breitbart News and later working with rapper Kanye West. He gained notoriety for shock‑tube content and was heavily criticised for hateful remarks towards transgender people, Muslims and other groups.
He initially supported Donald Trump in 2016, speaking at the Republican National Convention, and championed stricter immigration rules. The commentator has since critiqued Trump, claiming the former president “has lost his way.”
